Magnificent California

Known as the Golden State, a nickname gained during the Gold Rush Era, California offers nowadays its gold in the mix of beautiful cities, breathtaking National Parks, a spectacular coastline and amazing beaches.

In this itinerary you will enjoy the romantic San Francisco Bay; Yosemite National Park and its natural wonders made of waterfalls, mountains and forests; Carmel and Monterey with their cliffs towering over the ocean and delicous architecture; Santa Barbara, a real Pearl in the Californian Riviera, the incredibily wide beaches surrounding Los Angeles.

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION:

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN SAN FRANCISCO

Arrival in San Francisco, after custom clearence and having picked up your luggage, you will proceed to the car rental Desk to pick up your car and drive to the reserved hotel.

Day 2: SAN FRANCISCO / YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (380 Km)

Today, your trip among the American Natural Wonders starts. You will drive for about 4 hours to the east, leaving the coastline and reachnig the California mountains and the beautiful Yosemite National Park. Upon Arrival, after check in at your hotel, time at disposal for a first visit of the park.

Day 3: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Full day dedicated to the visit of Yosemite. You could easily spend weeks exploring the park, famous for its waterfalls, the Sequoia forests, their granite mountains and much more. Main attractions are Yosemite Falls, El Captain, the mountain where Free climbing was practiced for the first time ever, Half Dome, one of the most photographed points of the park, Glacier Point, towering at 2198 m. high, dominating the all park.

Day 4: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - MONTEREY (270 Km)

After a nice Mountain Excursion you will drive back to the coast and reach Monterey. On the way to get there, you will pass by the many grapewine and wineries producing the acclaimed Californian Wine. Once you reach the coast you will certainly fall in love with the views this part of California offers. High cliffs over the Ocean, delicious villages, secluded beaches will follow one another. Be sure not to miss a visit to Monterey at the delicious Carmel and to Drive on the world famous 17-mile Drive a loop drive that will lead you from the sea to the hills in one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the whole Country.

Day 5: MONTEREY / SAN SIMEON - PISMO BEACH (154 Km)

You will continue driving southward on the California Coast with its ever changing panoramas over the Pacific Ocean. This is Sufers’ Land as the Ocean here has the perfect Waves and this is the place where the relaxed and carefree California lifestyle reigns; it’s the perfect Holiday land!

Day 6: SAN SIMEON / LOS ANGELES (364 Km)

As you drive southward the cliffs leave their place to wider and wider beaches and the temperature gets higher as you enter Southern California. A stop in Santa Barbara is mandatory. It’s a very elegant city with a wonderful promenade on the ocean that earned her the name “American Riviera”. Before arriving in Los Angeles don’t miss a stop in Venice Beach and Santa Monica the first one famous for its’ alternative atmosphere, the second for the widest Beaches and third Street Promenade. Stop at Santa Monica Pier, especially if you get there around sunset time, for a wonderful panorama over the Pacific Ocean.

Day 7: LOS ANGELES

Leave your hotel and drop your car to the car rental counter, end of the journey.
